Duke`s world 09:02
DUKE`S WORLD It's a big day today Duke has been born A lucky guy from Europe You can see it at once His smile holds his future He'll go to school soon To learn to read and write So not to miss important rules He learns the world from a TV screen It shouldn't be too wide Duke learns to count to know Where the border lies That he mustn't cross He started dreaming as he'd been told He started working but he didn't know what for Wanted to find out but he was warned Duke met a girl But not very pretty They were living together but not for long His heart was bleeding for some time looking for his place but couldn't find one He became an observer but couldn't understand He pretends his eyes are sharp But there is nothing he can see He pricks up his ears But doesn't know whose speech it is He tries to take the floor but these are not his words He simply forgot who he was before It's better for Duke not to know who he is now Don't try to wake, too overwhelming it is Keep on sleeping peacefully We keep on watching you There is no need to think You can leave it for us Duke's passed away today He didn't get a thing He thought about his life to the very end He didn't make it as there wasn't enough time Although he kept hearing – save it pal Goodbye Duke, make room for the others Let them learn from your mistakes A priest said over the grave Throwing a bit of dirt Muttering under his breath A miracle hadn't taken place A miracle hadn't taken place

BLUE TEMPLE One, two, three, four, one, three, four He is watching TV, oh, he is He is watching TV, oh, he is He is staring at it all day long He is flipping channels back and forth He is watching TV, oh, he is He is watching TV The man is sitting in his own armchair alone Sinking in his couch and ready for the next show He's flipping back and forth between his favourite dreams The rage inside of him is blocked by a blue screen. The curtain's going up, his friends are there Half-naked girls and a nice presenter All ready]to take care of you tonight They're gonna make it right They're wishing him a happier, joyfull, better life Apart of him, his doughter and his lovely wife Once he promised them to get it all he could Its time to make a dream come true Maybe he should swap his old car for a yacht Maybe he could be a richer than he thought He believes that he could be someone at last So say the TV guy and the girls he trust Here's another piece of news about George Floyd Must have been just one of accidents, oh boy Many questions going through his troubled mind Should he watch the programme – there is Spring outside Yet, there is another TV show at five More advice on how to live their mundane life How to make something happen, he has no clue Maybe a blue screen will tell him what to do

WILL BE GONE TOMORROW You've decided To do a good deed today Packing your staff neatly like no one else Like a monk who sets off at dawn Your mum hugs you tight Your dad fills up with pride Friends pat your shoulder Pretending they don't know how old you are New war, new aim, new words What was yesterday is fading away You don't need to get it right The wind blowing your hair Little Walker has made you feel rage You go to the East you hear desert calling Laurel wreath on your head Tight uniform on your puffed out chest Come back soon tell us all the stuff You must learn what's important today Pale face, emotionally drained People with flowers welcome you Everyone's waiting, chewing on their lips Elegant dresses shining in the sun Medal held in hands waiting to be pinned Oh, you've arrived in the end The plane is taxiing like a bird You won't appear at the door on your own They've sent you back to your mum In a box like a birthday gift Covered with a flag With lovely Stars and Stripes They won't forget you fast Mr President assures your mom He extends his sweaty palm But memory is so short The same old story all the time There's nothing you can do We come up with ideas You come back in a chest Yes, boy, without a chance

UNMASKED DREAMS What you get What you give What you borrow What you lose What you see What you love What you betray What you cry over What you dream of about What you doubt What you hate The reason you live, create, and write What you breath in What you step on What openes your eyes? What makes them die What they've told you to doubt And what you're supposed to believe in What is hope, doubt, indifference What dies and what is born What makes you raise your head And what makes you lose it Everything's under control Been counted Been confirmed Agree with that don't try to understand You'll only waste your time That's what life is like Driven by compelling thoughts

ASH AND DIAMONDS I met Miles I entered his world So it seems His voice is powerful and so am I He lives in Africa And I'm here with cold city lights He drinks water from a clay pot I've got a green lawn watered every day He crawls through a waste dump to get few drops I've changed my old car for a faster one to catch up with things the world has to offer I've mentioned a car that runs on gas He talked about land covered with black gunk When I talk about love I feel every day He complains about neighbours living next door those who have sharp blades I keep on writing about my happiness But Miles is not writing any more He just sends smiles When I talk about freedom I know so well Miles keeps quiet with eyes filled with tears Black and white world with no colours at all It becomes clear I'm here you're there without choice

IS THIS WHAT WE MEANT? The man on the cross turned his head away He can't look at it anymore We can't turn back the clock Dogs without muzzles Is this what we meant ? Is this our race to the stars ? I look behind the day before Nothing good was going on Ships that used to move on gracefully Have torn sails right now On the cracked bed of the Aral sea Big city lights like bloodshot eyes Attract moths from all over the world New election, new hopes Old promises, the same methods When they pat your back You feel you're a better man There must be a way out Talks at a card table finished fast As we ran short of snacks Hard weapon enters the game We'll fight them or we'll be defeated Is it really going to be the same story again ? When mighty vessels didn't come back on time Whisper of greed from the past Wilful deception chases us You can talk less and less The child that was born Has more and more defects

SUZANE AND PETE To live in San Francisco That's Pete and Suzanne's dream Silicon fantasies Twist around their minds Look, the sun is rising Don't waste your time sleeping Hop on the bus at once There all guys are wearing Angelic shirts and ties Washed out of dirtless dreams Tailor made to fit their heads Old John whose home`s on the street Comes here every night Is going to die tomorrow Cos hasn't been possessed by this fate Oh, Suzanne, we're the world creators The press will soon reveal that fact Can you feel the wind blowing? All those figures Got through our heads Pepsi in the Andes and Mc Donald in Tibet Contented global world No differences no flaws Let's take a ride in Porsche, What do you think of that ? We'll leave our imprint Oh, thousand souls passed away Some people say Who don't have faith in us It was a miracle pill That was supposed to amuse us to death I wanted so much to heal that Miserable and tired world Oh, Suzanne, that was a mistake I hope they will forgive us You, know, the common sense died yesterday The world had failed to keep it What can a bird like me Shout in a hurricane ? Such a bird like me On the Hollywood hills A film was made one day Everyone cried watching it They returned home and forgot it anyway At dawn they'll wake up In a wonderful, global world

Are you wondering what is happening to the world ?
Where are we heading ?
Will freedom of speech survive ?
Do you have to die for other people's ideas ?
Can you name everything properly ?
Do you collect other people's ideas ?
Do you feel secure ?
How often do you protest in the street ?
Do the words you say disappear for good ?
Do wars break out due to boredom or greed ?
Think twice before you go to a war
Are you sure you can see what you want ?
Do you feel free ?
