DUKE`S WORLD

It's a big day today
Duke has been born
A lucky guy from Europe
You can see it at once
His smile holds his future
He'll go to school soon
To learn to read and write
So not to miss important rules
He learns the world from a TV screen
It shouldn't be too wide
Duke learns to count to know
Where the border lies
That he mustn't cross
He started dreaming as he'd been told
He started working but he didn't know what for
Wanted to find out but he was warned

Duke met a girl
But not very pretty
They were living together but not for long
His heart was bleeding for some time
looking for his place but couldn't find one
He became an observer but couldn't understand
He pretends his eyes are sharp
But there is nothing he can see
He pricks up his ears
But doesn't know whose speech it is
He tries to take the floor but these are not his words
He simply forgot who he was before
It's better for Duke not to know who he is now
Don't try to wake, too overwhelming it is
Keep on sleeping peacefully
We keep on watching you
There is no need to think
You can leave it for us

Duke's passed away today
He didn't get a thing
He thought about his life to the very end
He didn't make it as there wasn't enough time
Although he kept hearing – save it pal
Goodbye Duke, make room for the others
Let them learn from your mistakes
A priest said over the grave
Throwing a bit of dirt
Muttering under his breath
A miracle hadn't taken place
A miracle hadn't taken place

What is happening to the world and people ? Where are we heading ? Is our time limited ? Their words are the scream of the whole planet. You might call them dreamers but for sure they are not the only ones ! ... more
